Downsizing Services for Seniors

Whether you are planning to downsize your home or preparing your home to Age In Place, we will help ease the stress of this
transition period.

Downsizing for seniors can be a challenging process. With a home filled with precious memories it can seem overwhelming. Our professional organizers for seniors appreciate and understand the sensitive nature of this project. We will do the heavy lifting, pulling everything out separating family heirlooms from junk. This allows you to see everything and easily make a “keep or donate” decision, assisting you in quickly moving on to the next item.

We arrange donation and or trash pick-ups with local charities, for the items you no longer need.

Age In Place Services

“Age In Place” is the latest trend in senior care. To stay in your current home rather than move into a retirement facility.

There are many benefits to this:

  • Increases life expectancy by 15 years or more

  • Fosters independence and empowerment

  • Slows the progression of memory loss

  • Adults remain socially engaged in communities

  • It is exponentially more affordable

How we do it

  • Consultation

    First we do a free walk through consultation to identify safety hazards, make suggestions for decluttering, repairs and improvements, and furnishing placement changes.

  • Decluttering

    Next we schedule a “Swedish Death Cleaning” aka a major decluttering session(s). This is where our specialized organizers for the elderly work with you to separate family heirlooms from junk, haul away donations to make space for accessibility of walkers or wheelchairs, remove safety hazards such as area rugs, donate books to local libraries, and clothing and household items to local charities.

  • Home Improvements

    Then we call in our contractor to make improvements to the home such as handrails, ramps, additional lighting, higher toilets and general repairs.

  • Home Services

    Lastly we schedule home services such as grocery delivery , prepared food, delivery, meal prep and housekeeping, yard maintenance and other in-home care services.

How long will it take?

When getting organized there are many factors involved in determining the amount of time it will take.

It depends on the type of services needed, the size of the space, and the client's ability to participate. We work as quickly and efficiently as possible, while also respecting the emotional state of our client. Downsizing is a very sensitive milestone, there should be joy in the process of going through a lifetime of memories.  We like to say we push just enough to get the job done and everyone is happy at the end of the project.

How much will it cost?

The cost will depend completely on how quickly the client is able to move through each room. Therefore we charge by the hour.

We work as quickly as possible and our main goal is to have a happy clients at the end of the project.

I am a trained Project Manager with a flair for interior design and a passion for organization!

I was born organized. As a child, I would line up my Barbie shoes by color and my dolls by size. Organizing comes easily to me. I know it doesn't work for everyone, so I take my time with our clients and work at their speed.

My team and I use our unique and creative skills to organize clients' homes and offices. We specialize in large to medium-sized projects. We reimagine and simplify our client's lives by organizing closets, pantries, whole houses, electronic files, and images. We even offer move-in, unpacking, and set-up services. We do it all!

I moved to Los Angeles in 2016. I was a stay-at-home mom with my kids. When the pandemic hit in 2020, my husband and kids were suddenly home all the time! I figured it was something I had been naturally gifted at since childhood, so why not? I have been doing it ever since.
